On Wednesday 15th July we held our inaugural Fashion Show, showcasing the designs and creations of the Year 12 and Year 13 BTEC Fashion and Clothing students.  The BTEC Fashion & Clothing Diploma is a new exciting and creative course at Springwood High School where, over a two year period, the students learn to design and make clothes.

There was a massive range of clothes modelled on the catwalk, along with accessories such as handbags and evening gloves. The clothes had a retro vibe, with 1960’s style mini-skirts and 1950’s prom dresses included in the collections.

The show was full of glitz and glamour, kicking off with live music from Year 8 student Amy Palmer. Over fifty girls from all year groups took to the catwalk to model the Fashion students’ creations at the end of year show.  All of the models and designers worked in a professional manner and the event was an enormous success!
