Message to students and parents regarding A level and GCSE grades this year

Year 11/13 student please read the following message regarding your exam grades

If you have any questions regarding the below message please direct them to Miss Ashfield (Year 11), Mr Warner-Lynn (Year 13).

Due to the procedures schools and examination awarding bodies must go through and the checking processes grades must be subjected to before being awarded to students in August, the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) and Ofqual make the condition that all grades and endorsements are confidential and must not be given to students or parents/guardians ahead of August results days.

All staff have been told they must not discuss these grades.  Therefore, please do not ask your teachers for this information.

Your teachers can advise you on what evidence will be used to support your grade, including historic and future work.  They can also advise you on what you can improve or focus on over the coming weeks and the support that will be available to you.

Please click here for  the JCQ Guidance for Students and Parents.  We will also be circulating further documentation from the JCQ to all students and parents/guardians and we advise that you read this information carefully.

For Year 11 only - If you have not yet done so, please ensure that you book appointments for Year 11 progress evening this Thursday 15th April - this will be your opportunity to speak directly to your teachers about what you should be working on and revising and what support you can access.
