On Friday 9th October, Springwood welcomed Martin Burder, who presented the Sixth Form with ‘The Art of Brilliance’. The message of the workshop was to encourage students to adopt a positive outlook on school and indeed, life.
On Wednesday 7th October we put down our pens and used different ways of learning for No Pens Day.
Some of our Year 8s were inspired with poetry by a visit from Ash Dickinson, a poet, writer and comedy performer.
Friday 2nd October saw our Sixth Formers put their baking skills to the test and held a Cake Sale for 'Help for Heroes' where they raised over £90.
On Friday 2nd October we held a World Voice Day to coincide with European Languages Week.
We are now collecting bags of sugar for 'Sugar for Collection' part of BEFA , an East Anglia based charity with its roots in the farming community.
Spaces still available!!!! This year we have chosen Lofer in Austria. Lofer is a fantastic resort with direct access to 30km of downhill skiing, with 14 individual pistes, served by 18 ski lifts so should suit all the needs of our groups.
The Art & Photography Department run an annual trip for its GCSE and A-Level, Art and Photography students. Last year we ran a successful trip to New York, next year we have decided to go to Venice from 24th – 28th March 2016.
