As part of the new reformed GCSE course the History Department is planning another successful trip this year for Year 9 History students to visit the First World War battlefields around Ypres in Belgium and the Somme in France.
On Friday 12th February 2016 we had our first Super Learning day of the year where our students took part in various activities throughout the day, from Math Challenges, Driving Lessons and Career opportunities.

On Wednesday 3rd February 2016 over 50 year 10 and 12 students went on a Careers with Languages visit held at the Anglia Ruskin University and run by Routes Into Languages East.
We are holding a Trade Show for all our Year 9 Entrepreneurs on Tuesday 1st March in the East Gym
The languages department are pleased to offer year 7 German pupils the possibility to take part in a residential trip to Cologne, in Germany in July 2016.
Year 11 English students are invited to see a play adaptation of ‘Of Mice and Men’ at the Cambridge Arts Theatre on Wednesday, 13th April 2016.
Friday February 5th was the NSPCC’s Number Day. Like many other schools across the UK we take part in Number Day to help raise funds to support the work the NSPCC and Childline does with children and young people.
