Homework
Why do we set homework?
- To consolidate current learning and deepen their understanding
- To retrieve previously taught topics
- To help retain knowledge that has been taught
- To help develop independent skills
The EEF found that completion of homework at secondary level can add an additional five months progress onto a child's learning.
It has also been found that it encourages self-development and self-discipline. Students performan better at school during exams and they learn broader life skills and associate hard work with long term rewards.
How is it set?
All homework will be set and tracked on the My Child At School app. Please click on the year group below to see what homework is set and the frequency it is set.
