Why do we set independent study?
 

• To consolidate current learning and deepen their understanding
• To retrieve previously taught topics
• To help retain knowledge that has been taught
• To help develop independent skills
   

Students are expeced to study independently for at least 5 hours per subject each week. Teachers will set compulsory tasks for this independnt study but students are also expected to carry out their own research, reading and revision.
