Year 13 Presentation Evening
Springwood High School held its Year 13 Presentation Evening on Thursday 3rd January 2019.
The speaker for the evening was Rosie Hill, a previous pupil at the school who is now a successful Commercial Property Lawyer at Barr Ellison in Cambridge.
Miss Rosie Hill pictured middle right beside the Head Teacher, Andy Johnson, gave an inspirational talk to Springwood Sixth Form 2018 leavers. Class of 2018 achieved an outstanding 22% A*-A and 48% A*-B, with 46 students being named Norfolk Scholars- the most the school has ever seen. Mrs Cuss (Head of Sixth Form) said “it was great to have the year group together again and find out about their university, apprenticeship or employment situations. Our students should be so proud of themselves; they have certainly made the school proud.”
Some students received special prizes and subject prizes; amongst the prize winners were Florence Chung, Kaveeta Malhi, Josh Lowe, Tom Hoy and Leah Bartlett. There were over 35 awards generously sponsored by The Rotary Club, Bespak, Clanpress, Arterton’s, Sibelco, Stephenson Smart, Clock Pharmacy, West Norfolk Rugby Club, FW Hendry and Wolfy's Video & Photography. Florence Chung who received the Queen’s Prize for the best A Level results (4 A*’s) will visit the Queen personally to receive her prize later this month.
