German
COMPULSORY TASK:
- Speaking Exercise : Prepare a 10-minute oral presentation in German – you can do this with visual aids/on PowerPoint /using images. You must include:
- Your name and what subjects you will be studying, explaining why you chose those subjects.
- Something interesting about yourself/ your character/ your background/ where you grew up/ any other languages you speak.
- At least one of your hobbies and interests in detail, e.g. a sport you play, describe your favourite book/film/TV show, a part-time job or volunteer work you do (explaining what your work includes)
- A political/social issue you care about, explaining why you care about it e.g. the environment, AI, gendered language, veganism...
- WRITING: Film Review in German (one side of A4)
- Watch a German film (with English subtitles). Our suggestion is “I'm Westen nichts Neues (All quiet on the western Front) which is available on Netflix, or you can watch a German film of your choice.
- Write a short summary of the storyline in German. Describe the setting/scenery, comment on the actors, describe particular scenes or incidents (good or bad) and give your own opinions.
- GRAMMAR : Verb Revision Booklet
- Complete all exercises in the Verb Revision Booklet.
Please submit the task to your teacher on the first lesson in September.
