Y8 Careers Challenge Winners

Our Careers Challenge winner - Issy Woods!  Year 8 students followed their Superlearning day on careers with their own extended project, investigating in more depth careers that they would be interested in.

Year 8 students followed their Superlearning day on careers with their own extended project, investigating in more depth careers that they would be interested in. Pupils were excused normal homework for one week in order to complete the project, which was marked by Form Tutors, giving pupils an Attitude to Learning (ATL) grade. Pupils completing the project were able to use this towards the Understand stamp of their Endeavour project.

The quality of entries was exceptional, with over one hundred students achieving an ATL 1. This made Headteacher Mr Ballman's job to choose 3 winners extremely difficult. Eventually, he declared the winner to be Issy Woods, followed in second place by Chelsey Grimes, with Robert Messam in third. Each received a gift voucher.
Winner Issy said  "I really enjoyed doing the project, and I felt proud when I found out I had won.  It helped me because I found out so much more about my chosen career."
