Parents

At Springwood high school, we firmly believe that students make better progress when school and parents work together.

Who to Contact

Your child's Form Tutor is the person who will know them best: this is normally the best person for parents to contact for day to day issues or concerns.  If you wish to discuss a particular subject, your child's subject teacher or the head of department may be the best person to contact. For other matters which are particularly serious or sensitive, you may prefer to contact your child's Year Manager.

Parent Evenings

During the year, we will invite you to attend a parents' evening to meet your child's subject teachers and discuss your child's progress.  If you have any concerns about how your child is getting on, please do not wait until the parents' evening; the sooner we know about a concern, the sooner we can do something about it.

Reports

In addition to Parent Evenings, we will provide two school reports each year, which will help you keep track of your child's progress.  Explanations of grades and scoring systems will be included on the report, but please contact the school if you have any queries or concerns.
