Academic Mentoring

The Sixth Form Academic Mentoring programme is a voluntary programme is a voluntary programme whereby Sixth Form Students are paired with pupils from Year 7 to 11 in a subject the student is studying at A Level such as English, Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Students also support teachers in the mentoring of lower school student for whom English is an Additional Language.

During these sessions, Sixth formers can expect to help pupils by:

·         Recapping theories taught in class and making it understandable to the student.

·         Helping with organisation of class notes.

·         Aiding in the development of exam revision techniques and tips to help prepare for exams.

This mentoring usually takes place once weekly during Tutor Time.
