Super Learning Day
On Friday 9th October we had our first Super Learning Day of the new term where students from all years took part in various 'off timetable' lessons. It was great to see so many enthusiastic staff and students enjoying the SLD!

Yr7 had an introduction to the Arts where they were taught digital painting on Photoshop. In the afternoon they were introduced to PE at Springwood including archery!
Yr8 were with Science making a space rover for planetary exploration!
Yr9 investigated British Values through British Heroes supplied by Dept and produced top trump cards; in the afternoon they celebrated the 25th anniversary of the unification of Germany by looking at the history of the Berlin Wall and drawing their own image of what they would put on it now if they could. These will be displayed in the LRC on a purpose built version of the Wall!
Yr10 had Maths for the day looking at personal finance for half a day and then coding theory for the other half.
Yr11 had English preparation for their exam in two weeks.
6th Form had a careers and UCAS day to prepare them for Universities and work.
