Full-House fundraiser for Springwood leavers

It was ‘Legs Eleven’ for Year 11 students at Springwood High School, when they held a bingo evening to raise money for their end-of-year Prom.

Our soon-to-be graduating Class of 2024 sold bingo booklets and staged a raffle as part of their fundraising efforts for the Year 11 leavers’ celebration, which will take place on 28 June and mark the end of five years of study at the school for the cohort.

Students, friends, family and staff members all competed to complete a ‘full house’ during the evening, which took place in the Sixth Form Hub at Springwood, a member of the West Norfolk Academies Trust.

“Just over £1,000 was raised, and will go towards the DJ, decorations and activities at the Prom,” said our Assistant Headteacher Rebecca Davies, who is Head of Year 11 and helped to organise the bingo.

Other fundraising events planned ahead of the Prom include a Quiz Night, due to take place at Springwood on Friday 22 March.
