The Geography and Classics department are proposing to run a five day trip to Sorrento, Italy, from the 7th – 11th April 2016.  The trip is initially open to Geography and Classics students in years 9, 10 and 12. A total of 30 places will be available to students from both departments.

The Sorrento peninsula provides an excellent opportunity to discover the geographical themes of tectonic boundaries, the impact of tourism, and managing hazards. Visits to Mount Vesuvius, the Solfatara Volcano, and the Roman city of Pompeii along with the historic town of Sorrento provide an excellent opportunity for geographical study. Students will also visit the island of Capri and the Naples Archaeological Museum.

To secure a place for your child a non-refundable deposit of £250.00 is required by Friday the 23rd October 2015. The high deposit amount is a requirement of the specialist tour operator organising the trip.
