They have spent time in class looking at A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte by Georges-Pierre Seurat and Miss Simons with the assistance of two of her Year 13 students Kerry Bensley and Anam Khatri introduced them to mixing colours on the page using pointillism in the style of Seurat. Collaboratively working together the class created the bigger picture of a modern day scene based on the painting working on individual sections and putting together, as well as more comical variations of the Simpsons, Pokemon and Marvel Characters to name a few in the same pose. A fun afternoon was had by all.
